Spiritual Ecology

Spiritual Ecology is the Remedy to Peace of Life (I)

The contemporary world is being deprived by severe exploitation, wherein ecological systems have been subjected to rapacious depletion, resulting in ecological imbalance and complex environmental issues. The resolution of ecological degradation necessitates the implementation of spiritual ecology. All beings hold a spiritual state of mind and it is imperative for us to recognize this, respect the intrinsic value of all beings, embrace the space for coexistence, and work together to build a world of shared fulfillment.

For a long time, I have noticed the deteriorating hostility among religions and the perpetuation of warfare and conflict. Nonetheless, I believe that all religions share the same pursuit, which is to uncover the spiritual source that is the primordial state of mind. This essence, whether conceptualized as God or other divine forms in various faiths, is the same spiritual source. In Buddhism, the spiritual source is also termed “the original face,” and it should be understood that we are pursuing the spiritual aspiration to uncover the same essence. At the same time, religions share a common objective: the cultivation of morality and compassion as the foundation of societal harmony. Nevertheless, religious communities have devolved into opposition, forgetting their collaborative potential in service to humanity, ultimately expending their efforts on hostility. As a response, we founded the Museum of World Religions

Our museum's mission encompasses respect for religious diversity, the promotion of inclusivity and tolerance, and the collective creation of universal love and life. Since the museum's inauguration, we have dedicated ourselves to fostering interfaith cooperation. At the 26th United Nations Climate Change Conference held in the United Kingdom in 2021, we established connections with various religious traditions. During this conference, the concept of spiritual ecology was discussed, emphasizing that spirituality must not be compromised. As many other religions adhere to the belief that all beings are creations of the divine, it can be understood that the divine employs spirituality to create the DNA of all existence, thereby manifesting the universe. To achieve interfaith harmony, we must identify the principles of concord. Our museum employs respect, tolerance, and love to address religious conflicts. In parallel, to promote planetary sustainability and ecological harmony, we have established the University for Life and Peace.
