Sentient beings have been drifting in the samsaric ocean of birth, aging, illness, and death involuntarily. The cyclic existence within the six realms is hard to come to an end. The key to end this cycle is to take refuge in the Buddha, Dharma, Sangha, and Guan Yin (Avalokiteshvara). Take refuge, follow, and learn from sublime subjects. That way, we can leave the torment of cyclic existence.
An important thing about Dharma learning is to refrain from all non-virtues and engage in all virtues. Non-virtues refer to confrontational relations. These would result in the loss of merit and good connections. Dharma teaches us to "live to serve, dedicate life to lives". Besides serving our families, we should also be dedicated to our community, nation, even mankind. Allow our families, friends, business partners, and all to learn about Dharma. Together, we can receive the wholesome teaching to be parted from suffering and acquire the ultimate happiness.
