- Part of "The Spiritual Ecology" Series, authored by Master Hsin Tao
Dharma has it that all things, i.e., all phenomena, are the creation of spirituality. Spirituality is land and soil that contains endless torrents of memory ready as feeds for all forms of existence to grow and take shape and mass to embody the phenomena perceived as a reality that keeps us company for ongoing interaction.
In the absence of all phenomena, emptiness, and void step in to render our Earth a barren planet and a total bore. Plants grow and blossom, and in the fruits that feed the world, the seeds contain domain memories for future generations. Such is their life cycle, ours is similar.
Ecology is born out of spirituality, as are all species that would be non-existent without spirituality. The world is created similarly, making everything and us fellow creations of the same source and origin. In other words, we all stem from one identical origin for a common life community. It thus makes sense for us to appreciate the value of their existence, to include space for growth and differences alike, and ultimately, to share selflessly and to bask in Love.
Does a tree share? It does. Do its flowers blossom, and does it grow fruit? Two yeses. Does one singular flower share? It does when it blossoms, and it shares the beauty of its blooming for all to behold. So, yes, even one flower by itself still shares whichever way you look at it. Sharing is synonymous with Love and it means to give what is needed. Sharing is thus also respect, inclusion, and Love.
